Leon Fulgence is arguably the most famous living artist in Madagascar, a country that has a surprisingly thriving modern art scene and some world-class art spaces.
We had the pleasure of meeting Mr Fulgence last year in his gallery in Antsirabe, a city popular with tourists that is about a 12 hour drive from the capital city Antananarivo. After purchasing 7 pieces of his traditional oil on canvas, we recently commissioned Mr. Fulgence to make a few abstract pieces for us that we are thrilled about.
