Ellis has long been known as one of the most talented visual artists working in Malawi. He is a specialist in making batik artwork but Toso&Jura is fortunate to own his acrylic on canvas paintings as well. Overall we own more than 20 pieces of his work.
We have known Ellis for a few years now and had a fantastic experience visiting the UNESCO site at the famous Chongoni Rock Art Area when we drove together from Blantyre to Lilongwe 2 years ago to meet several of his artist friends.
Mr Singano is also a teacher / philanthropist who is generous with his time and willing to share his skills with disadvantaged youth looking to get ahead in life.
Just below is one of his many batik works and the other is one of fifteen acrylic on canvas paintings featured in our collection
