Abstract acrylic on canvas painting (180 x 150 cm) from Ugandan artist, Denis Mubiru. Certainly a nod to Jean-Michael Basquiat with his choice of colors, overall theme, use of text, aspirations to be great and wear the three-pointed crown. Meanwhile Mr Mubiru stays close to his roots with figures from Kampala like the ubiquitous motor van (matatu) used for daily passenger transport to the surrounding suburbs.
